“Regarding ‘wow factor.’ I can understand the architect’s enthusiasm for what sounds like an immense, complicated project. We should all take pride in our work. Perhaps I can shed some light on the public’s indifference.
I know I’m not alone in considering the new $160-million federal courthouse building in Cedar Rapids just another expression of our excessive, obscene, financially bankrupt government, which I’m required to pay for, just like I pay for bank bailouts, stimuli, domestic spying programs and foreign, undeclared wars.” (more at onlinegazette.com)
Former Des Moines School Board Member, Jonathan Narcisse, will be addressing his plan to reform state government to University of Iowa College of Medicine students. This summer Jonathan Narcisse released his plan called An Iowa Worth Fighting For, and launched a website: www.aniowaworthfightingfor.com. Recent speculation places Jonathan Narcisse in the middle of the 2010 race for Iowa Governor. Jonathan was invited to speak by the student group, Medical Students for Liberty. The meeting will take place this Monday, Nov. 30th at the Carver College of Medicine MERF building, room 1143, from 12:30 to 1:30. The event is open to any interested individuals.
